Boodle- Boodle

Boodle fight was mainly discover by the Military in which they are using their hands for eating. It is a Military style of eating were tables are prepared and food are on the table. Viands and rice are put together in one banana leaves.
Boodle fight is not used only by Military but also occasionally like outdoor bonding by the families and friends. This event mostly held in seaside and also in school when there is a section gatherings and events. It symbolizes friendship, happiness and unity to everyone. 

Sometimes, other people misinterpreted why Filipino enjoyed having Boodle fight, simply it is our way to express our happiness in a unique way.

Since Boodle fight is a military way of eating, I conducted an interview with the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC), of Carlos Hilado Memorial State College-Talisay Campus regarding in this topic.

 First Interview

Interviewer: Why ROTC and Military do the boodle fight?
Interviewee: It's because gapakita ni siya unity sa amon.
Interviewer: What are the feedback's of the people seeing you doing a boodle fight?
Interviewee: Ang iban gahambal nga nami kuno kay ka sadya kag daw ga hampang lang. Ang iban niya hambal nila damak kuno kay ga mix ang pagkaon.

According to 3rd Class ROTC Officer Mary Jane Cuboz, Boodle fight symbolizes brotherhood and its their time also to bond with their troops.


Second Interview

Interviewer: Why ROTC and Military do the boodle fight?
Interviewee: Ga Boodle fight ang ROTC kag Military, para mapakita sa mga tawo nga as ONE kami, kag grabe gid ang bond namon sa isa kag isa.
Interviewer: What are the feedback's of the people seeing you doing a boodle fight?
Interviewee: May ara gid postive kag negative na feedback ako nabatian tungod sa boodle fight na ginahimu namon, ga hambal sila na daw barkadahanay lang kami kag ang iban daw ka informal kay ga kaon kami sa dahon, kag ga kinamot lang kami.

According to 3rd Class ROTC Officer, Dave Espinosa, there are other people who understands the true meaning of boodle fight, and others descriminating this way of eating. But for him, it helps them to be as one and to be united.

Boodle fight is now acknowledge in different parts of the globe. It signifies brotherhood and trust. Boodle fight nowadays are important especially to Filipinos because we value the closeness, friendship and the participation of the community. We should be proud about the concept of Boodle fight because we wont be able to make our mark in the history of trendy way of dining. Filipino has a unique way in terms of boodle fighting, because in this occassion, eveyone is participating and experiencing this kind of happiness in their lives.
